Best place to find dragon swords - Guild Wars Forums

Hey, I've been looking around and through my 150+ hours of gameplay, i have only seen dragon swords drop twice, none were for me and they both dropped in the crystal desert. This brings me to my question, Where is the best place to farm for dragon swords? Ive seen a few drop in crystal desert and that is all, because i really dont feel like paying 1-10k for a moderate dragon sword when i can find one for free by killing. Thanks

only dragon sword i found was a purple 15-22 dragon sword during the elona reach mission. so yeah, desert.

ring of fire area .. think im on my 5th or 6th one.

Yea, my friend's friend got a dragon sword from the dunes mission.... i really dont want to do the missions, i wonder what area would drop the most common? I would think hydras given they use fire spells, although i think it was a minotaur that dropped one once, i cant remember.

My girlfriend and I got 3 of them in the desert within a few hours of eachother one day. Not in a mission, but just out traveling between places

I found a few while farming sand drakes... they weren't max-damage though.

Yea, Desert must be the best place. Sand drakes eh? ill have to go out with a few henches and try doing a few runs... Good input guys! (maybe the ring of fire too, but need more confirmed) Also, anyone know why dragon swords are so expensive? Someone was asking 2.5k for a max dmg modless one.

I guess I lucked out. Found my Fiery Dragon Sword 15-22 going from Droknar's Forge to the next area. That's in snowy mountains. I have since added a Swordsmanship piece to it and now have reason to make a warrior.

i got a 15-22 fiery dragon sword no additional mods while doin missions in the snow area, think was the mission to help the drarven king reclaim throne

Seen more in Fissure of Woe then anywhere else so far. Done first 2 quests in Fissure 2 different times and have seen Draogn Sword drop more then once each run.

it basically drops anywhere mostly in the last couple areas..........Dragon's Lair

Found two in Thunderkeep yesterday while helping a friend to get further.
That was a nice reward for me, lol.

Ive been roaming the southern shiverpeaks and desert hoping to find one... no such luck.
Maybe ill just re-do some missions, it seems like they drop the most during them.
